Chelsea Wood

Customer Support Representative

Chelsea is Customer Support at Leadr.

Chelsea grew up in southern California where she learned the ins and outs of business travel, leadership, and customer service. Spending many weeknights at her mother’s office, Chelsea began helping at a young age by stapling and delivering paper airline tickets to travelers on her bike. The years spent helping her mother run her small business provided Chelsea with a love for customer service and (eventually) the desire to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Chelsea has worked for Leadr since August 2021, and in the startup world, that means she is a veteran employee. She loves that Leadr is here to help bridge the gap between management and employees through effective communication (1:1s), learnings, feedback, and goals. Chelsea is excited to continue her work in developing the customer support staff, creating support articles, and (most importantly) supporting Leadr users.

Why I'm Passionate About Leadr

At Leadr, we all have a story of a poor management experience that led to our passion for people development and desire to work at Leadr. We call these our Nigel stories.

Nigel is a fictitious character we’ve worked with or for in the past with unhealthy leadership tendencies. We all have those tendencies within ourselves, and they can emerge unintentionally, impacting those around us.

We are all Nigels, or know a Nigel, and Nigel is why Leadr exists. Here’s an excerpt from Chelsea’s Nigel story. What's yours?

“Her manager's desire to do the bare minimum affected her even after she left dispatching. She was reprimanded for going above and beyond and began to ease into future roles slower for fear of getting it wrong. Looking back, it is easy to see that if she had a more engaged manager, things would have played out differently.”
